Accra fights cholera outbreak

Health authorities have begun fumigating the Odorna sub-metropolitan area about 90 kms to the north of Accra in an attempt to curtail a recent outbreak of cholera. The authorities are due to extend their spraying exercise to Mamobi, Nima, Osu and other densely-populated areas within the metropolis. Since the end of March the Maamobi polyclinic in Accra has recorded over 100 cholera cases, including four deaths.
