AfDB funds construction of Arusha road

The African Development Bank (AfDB) is funding the construction of the 120-km Namanga-Arusha-Moshi-Holili road in Rombo district in north-eastern Tanzania. Situated in the Kilimanjaro region near the Kenyan border, the recently-begun project is aimed at improving access between east African countries as well as boosting their economic growth.

The project is being administered by the governments of Tanzania and Kenya.
