Foreigners have become the target of a racket linked to property sales in Arusha, the Arusha Times reports.

Racketeers posing as estate agents have allegedly been offering unavailable plots or houses to potential buyers for large sums of money.

The racket centres on the upmarket Njiro suburb in southeast Arusha, which is particularly popular with wealthy Tanzanians and members of the international community.
