Arusha residents have a chance to see a film on the lesser flamingos of Lake Natron northwest of Arusha, The Arusha Times reports.

The Crimson Wing: Mystery of the Flamingos by wildlife filmmakers Leander Ward and Matthew Aeberhard is to be shown at a free public screening at the New Arusha Hotel on 15 May at 16.00.

The event has been organised by the local chapter of the Wildlife Conservation Society of Tanzania (WCST), which also hopes to show the film in schools. The aim is to inform the public about the lesser flamingo
