Five-star accommodation in Arusha is about to get a boost with the planned opening of two major international hotels.

Holiday Inn Arusha is to open on the site of the present Novotol Mount Meru early next year; the new hotel, run by Zimbabwe-based hotel group African Sun, will offer a business centre, board, meeting and conference rooms, several restaurants and a spa.

Meanwhile German company Kempinski has purchased the historic Hotel 77
