The annual Cape Town Book Fair takes place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 15-17 June.
Established in 2006, the three-day fair allows visitors to meet authors and book industry representatives from the US, Britain, India, Bangladesh, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Turkey, Ghana, China, Uganda and Pakistan.
It comprises over 200 events, including panel discussions, literary forums, book launches, symposiums and encounters with prominent authors such as Kenyan novelist and theorist of post-colonial literature Ngugi wa Thiong'o.
This year’s fair will see the launch of a book featuring the correspondence and prose of former-ANC leader, Alfred Bitini Xuma, as well as two books on Jacob Zuma.
