The fifth edition of the annual Cape Town book opens on 30 July at the international convention centre in the city centre.

The first day of the fair is devoted entirely to publishers, institutional buyers and rights agents, with matchmaking sessions to promote new business partnerships and a programme of seminars on new industry trends.

Then from 31 July to 2 August it is the turn of the general public with an array of book readings in English, Afrikaans and other languages, author events (featured authors include Nigeria
