Changes to UK visa applications.

As of 6 March, UK visa applications from Mozambique will be handled by the British High Commission (BHC) in Pretoria, South Africa, rather than by the BHC in Maputo as before. However, Mozambicans travelling to the UK will be able to use the Maputo and Beira offices of the international courier DHL to send their documents to Pretoria. DHL will distribute application forms and information and check and accept completed applications and payments for the visa officers in South Africa. Decisions and visas will also be returned through DHL. The BHC recommends that applicants allow at least ten working days for the whole procedure. The UK immigration policy and criteria for obtaining a visa are unchanged.
