The launch by Delta airlines of direct commercial flights between Kenya and the United States has been postponed until further notice allegedly due to security concerns.

The American carrier was due to start its new service of four scheduled flights a week between Nairobi and Atlanta, Georgia on 3 June. However it cancelled the launch at the last minute after the US department of homeland security requested more time to approve the service.
