The company which owns the largest water park in east and central Africa, Kunduchi Wet n' Wild Water Park north of Dar es Salaam, has begun a major expansion of the complex. Managing director of Kunduchi Water Park Limited, Mahmood Ismail stated that the company's investment of over US$3 million was part of their tenth anniversary celebrations. The firm also plans to invest in similar schemes in other cities such Arusha and Mwanza.

The Kunduchi project, which will be completed within four months, includes new slides and rides, splash pools, a children's playground, swimming pools, restaurants and race tracks for go-karts and quads.

The park is part of the hospitality division of the Wellworth group, a family-run business established in the 1980s by Gulam Ismail, and now one of the most successful companies in Tanzania.
