Ghana is to host the 2012 edition of the annual All Africa Golf Championship for amateur golfers across the continent. At least one golf club in the country will be upgraded to meet international standards prior to the event according to John Wartemburg, secretary of the Ghana Golf Association (GGA).

Ghana first took part in the pan-African golf tournament in Zimbabwe in 2007.
