Goodluck Jonathan has been returned as president in Nigeria with over 58 per cent of the popular vote. His victory has led to violence in the north of the country, especially in Kaduna and Kano, which are loyal to the runner up, Muhammadu Buhari, military leader of Nigeria from 1983-85.
