The government has announced a crackdown on foreigners working in Tanzania illegally. The initiative is part of renewed efforts to shore up job opportunities in the country amid concerns that immigrants occupy many posts that could be taken by Tanzanians. The clampdown will also include a review of the procedures for employing foreigners.
