The chief prosecutor at the International Criminal Court (ICC), Luis Moreno Ocampo, has formally requested judges to open an investigation into the violence in Kenya sparked by the disputed presidential elections in December 2007. If all goes to plan two or three cases could come to trial in The Hague around the middle of next year. The prosecutor is understood to want to bring the main suspects to justice before Kenya
