The Lagos fire service will soon to be strengthen by the arrival of 250 graduate recruits, the state government has said. The new fire fighters are completing basic training before being deployed to stations across the metropolis.

The authorities are also buying ten new fire engines and plan to build seven new fire stations in Lagos East, and specifically in Eti-Osa, Alimosho, Ikotun, Igando, Oriade, Apapa/Iganmu and Ojo International Market.
