Construction of the Mpanda Nkuwa hydroelectric power station in the western Tete province is due to begin next year, energy minister Salvador Namburete has said. The plant will be located on the Zambezi river around 60 km downstream from the mighty Cahora Bassa dam, which currently accounts for much of Mozambique
