As her family and friends prepare the funeral arrangements for Nobel Peace Prize winner Wangari Maathai, they have announced that prayers will be said for her at a public ceremony on 28 September from 17.30 at St Andrews Church, University of Nairobi.

In Nairobi books of condolences can be signed at the Nairobi university, the Green Belt Movement office at Adams Arcade, Kilimani Lane off Elgeyo Marakwet Rd, at Uhuru Park
