The Addis Ababa millennium secretariat has launched a new website for the celebrations of the millennium on 12 September. Developed at a cost of 23,000 birr, the service in English with partial translations in Italian, German, French, Spanish, Chinese and Amharic, provides limited news and information about the capital and the events and services on offer. It also includes links to the special millennium radio and television programmes that will be transmitted through the city
