New medical clinic for Maputo

Expatriates in Mozambique will soon have access to a new private medical clinic in Maputo.

The Maputo Trauma Centre and Well Woman Clinic is located in Avenida Julius Nyerere and is scheduled to open in April 2010.

The facility is operated by VIP Healthcare Solutions Limited, a subsidiary of the Isle of Man-registered company African Medical Investments, which provides services to middle and high income Africans, expatriates, NGO staff, diplomatic staff and tourists. It will offer cardiovascular services, cancer screening, gynaecological services, contraception, breast examinations, osteoporosis treatment and consultation and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases.

AMI already operates travel and vaccination clinics at Johannesburg and Cape Town international airports and medical clinics in the Zimbabwean capital Harare and in Dar es Salaam.

The company is looking for doctors, nurses and general administrative staff to work in Maputo and its other facilities in Africa.
