Work is to begin on 21 December on five weak joints on the Ogudu-Alapere bridge linking the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway to the Third Mainland Bridge and Ikorodu Road. The repairs will be carried out between 23.00 and 05.00 Monday-Saturday and all day on Sunday to cause the least possible disruption to motorists. Traffic will be limited to one carriageway for the duration of the works. If all goes to plan the bridge should be fully functioning again on 19 February.
