Accra is holding the nation's inaugural Oil and Gas Career Fair from 21-22 February at the Accra International Conference Centre.
The two-day event, which has the backing of Ghana's energy ministry, will address the employment opportunities in the country's booming oil and gas sector, and is aimed primarily at "mid-level professional and students".
The fair will see training institutions provide information about career prospects in the oil and gas industry, as well as giving exploration and service companies a chance to demonstrate their employment opportunities.
Leading international and local oil and gas companies will attend the fair while a number of foreign training institutions will also attend, including four from Britain: Robert Gordon University, Dundee University, the University of Aberdeen and Cranfield University.
Hosted by Ghana Oil Club, the event's main sponsor is Tullow Oil, the British-based principal operator of the massive Jubilee oil field situated in the Atlantic Ocean off the Ghana coast.
