The heath authorities have said that they are to conduct nationwide immunisation against polio in the first and last weeks of February providing that the necessary funding can be raised. The Sh452 million campaign is to target 6.3 million children aged under five as well as refugees from neighbouring war-torn Somalia living in camps in the north east of the country. It follows the discovery of two cases of the debilitating and potentially fatal viral disease
