Eighth edition of Cairo Jazz Festival to feature international musicians.
The eighth edition of the Cairo Jazz Festival (CJF) will take place from 20-22 October at the Greek Campus in downtown Cairo.
The three-day festival features international musicians including the Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra from Germany; the Hermine Duerloo & Rembrandt Frerichs Trio from the Netherlands; the Karmen Roivassepp Quartet from Denmark; and the Atom String Quartet from Poland, who will perform on the venue’s indoor and outdoor stage.
The programme also includes Egyptian artists such as Hamza Namira; the Noha Fekry & Amro Salah Trio; HOH; and the Shady Al Qaseer group, as well as jazz-themed activities for children.
Founded in 2009 by Egyptian jazz pianist, composer and producer Salah, the annual festival has established itself firmly on the capital's arts calendar.
