The S. Egidio community is to expand its pioneering HIV/AIDS treatment programme DREAM (Drug Resource Enhancement against AIDS and Malnutrition) in Mozambique by creating a special centre in Maputo for the treatment of children with HIV, co-founder Andrea Riccardi has said. Riccardi acted as a mediator in the peace talks between the government of Mozambique and the then South-African backed rebel movement RENAMO (now the main opposition party) at the organisation
