Wilibrord Peter Slaa, born on 29 October 1948 at Kwermusi, Mbulu, in the region of Arusha, is the strongest opposition candidate for the presidency of Tanzania in the elections on 31 October. He represents one of the more formidable political parties in Tanzania today, popularly known by its ki-Swahili acronym ChaDeMa.
