Youngsters from all over Accra are to take part in an under-12 soccer tournament on 6 May as part of the programme of events to mark European Union week, 1-9 May. Teams symbolically representing all member states of the EU will compete in the one-day tournament at the University of Ghana at Legon, which has been organised by the European Commission delegation to Ghana. Members of the Gomoa Fetteh Feyenoord football academy will also make a presentation to the young participants on HIV/AIDS. Tournament winners will be presented with EU branded footballs, medals and certificates, Ghana news agency GNA has said.
