Zewditu Memorial Hospital in Addis Ababa is to get a new three-storey outpatients department under a project of the Ethiopia chapter of the United States Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The facility will replace the two shipping containers in the premises of the hospital, which have served as a treatment centre for HIV/AIDS patients on antiretroviral therapy (ART) for four years.

A local construction company will build the new structure at a total cost of $3.83 million, to be funded by the US President
