22-24 May 2011. Goethe Institut hosts the 11th edition of this Independent Film Festival.
The screenings of independent movies, mainly by filmmakers such as Beit Sha'ar by Iman Kamel, which will open the festival on 22 May at 19.00 followed by Colored Black by Ahmed El Samra, Boredom by Salma G. Zaki, A Popular Copy by Islam Kamal, Her Beautiful Voice by Jennifer Peterson, Circle by Muhammad Taymour, Bella by Deena Ezzeldin, Time Remaining by Mohamed Siam, Aziz by Sherif Wahba and Phone Booth by Michael Bayouh.
On 23 May the following movies will be projected at 19.00: IN/OUT of the Room by Dina Hamza, Nasr by Essam Fayez, Senses by Mohamed Ramadan, All too Human! by Sara Abd Allah, Gamal & Amany by Hadil Nazmy, Shadow of a Picture by Eman El Naggar, Ticket from Azrael by Abdallah El Ghoul, The Way Back by Ehab Hegazi and Que des Fruits by Omar Elhamy.
On 24 May the film programme starts at 19.00 with I am Asser by Ramy Rizkallah, The Attic by Mohamed Shawky, The Judgement by Ayman El Amir, Train of Life by Shokry Zekry and Living in the Nile by Mohamad El Wassify. At 21.00 there will be the projection of two German independent guest movies, Eastern Landscape by Eduard Schreiber from 1991, and Leipzig in the Fall by Andreas Voigt from 1989.
The festival concludes with award ceremony, which will start at 21.30.
Most movies were produced between 2009 and 2011 and last maximum 30 minutes.
