2006 Montagu Rose Show.

20-21 Oct 2006. Rose enthusiasts from all over South Africa and beyond arrive in the historic village of Montagu, east of Cape Town, for the 19th edition of the annual rose show organised by the Montagu garden club. The theme for this year is 2Wise 2Waste and the emphasis is on promoting recycling. The show opens on 20 Oct with the prize giving for the cut flower and flower arrangement competitions; on 21 Oct visitors can admire the displays as well as browsing garden and other stalls and a childrens art exhibition (08.00-17.00). The event ends with dinner and dancing from 19.00 until late.
