The fifth annual cheese festival in Franschhoek, roughly 70 km east of Cape Town, includes tastings, picnics, markets, workshops, a milk factory, butter-making demonstrations and more. Tickets are limited and must be booked through Computicket outlets. Entrance R70, senior citizens R45, children under 12 free. 28-30 April 10.00-18.00, 1 May 10.00-16.00.
