2010 Kijani Festival

26 Feb-6 March 2010. This year's edition of the annual international music festival organised by the Kijani Kenya Trust in Nairobi features a classical concert by the Operaplayhouse accompanied by Lesley-Ann Sammons and the Guildhall Strings (26 Feb), an opera gala concert by the Operaplayhouse accompanied by Lesley-Ann Sammons and the Guildhall Strings (27 Feb) and a gala dance performance of classical ballet and Kenyan and Indian dance performed by the Vienna Festival Ballet and the Stuttgart Ballet (6 March), with a dress rehearsal open to schools and orphanages the previous day. Established in 2004, the Kijani Kenya Trust supports health, education and environmental projects in Kenya.
