5-6 July 2011. This is the second Mozambique Coal Conference for senior executives from global coal producers, their suppliers and clients, international engineering firms, investors and Mozambican government officials.
On this occasion delegates will come from Australia, South Africa, India, Bostwana, Canada, United Kingdom, Egypt, Indonesia, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates USA, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, and of course Mozambique to discuss the geopolitical situation of coal worldwide and its future in Mozambique. More than 250 people are expected for this event.
The first coal conference took place in July 2010. Major global mining companies such as Vale and the Rio Tinto are planning to develop extensive export projects and open new coal mines to turn Mozambique a major coal producers. Since May 2011 the Brazilian company Vale began coal production in Moatize, Mozambique.
