22-24 November 2011. The GoDown is hosting the 5th Annual East African Arts Summit. On this occasion veterans as well as young, emerging artists and art directors will gather together from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda. Participants will pool information on fund-raising and administrative, communication and marketing strategies and engage in critical debates about art and art presentation.
This event is particularly important because in Kenya there is a great lack of promotion of the arts from the government and a great need for cultural support.
