7th Annual Women’s Arts Festival

The 7th edition of the Women’s/Humanity Arts Festival includes various stage productions, concerts, workshops and exhibitions, which will celebrate the Women’s Day and raise the public’s awareness on some central humanitarian issues, especially violence and human rights violations against women and disability. This festival was born from the need to honour the countless women who struggle daily to achieve a society in which women are acknowledged and treated with the respect they deserve.

This edition will register the presence of various celebrities, including Evita Bezuidenhuit, Nianell, Vicky Sampson, Black Byrd, Chaeli Mycroft and Zanne Stapelberg, as well as the female authors Jeanne Els, Jacqueline Leuvennink, Karin Brynard and Wilna Adriaanse. Dr Marlene Wasserman will facilitate an introductive panel discussion. Among the panellists will also be Ms Mamta Sharma, representative of the National Commission for Women in India.
