Accra Theatre Workshop

Shakespeare's Macbeth is the fourth summer production of Accra Theatre Workshop (ATW) for young actors.

The Accra Theatre Workshop arranges training, workshops and productions for the young and organises a support network for community drama.

The educational programme first started in 2012 with a six-week summer Shakespeare programme for young actors at the Nubuke Foundation. The programme has now been shortened to nine days.

The two performances are the result of in-depth study of the text and discussion about new ways to interpret and produce the play. In previous years the ATW has produced Romeo and Juliet, A Mid-Summer's Night Dream and The Comedy of Errors.
