Accumulating Signs by Mimi Cherono Ng'ok

18 September-12 October 2012. This exhibition, entitled Accumulating Signs, by the Kenyan photographer Mimi Cherono Ng'ok, is displayed within the series Sasa Nairobi, dedicated to Kenyan contemporary art.

This installation aims to document those influences, coming from cinema, photography, books, interviews, emails, conversations, moments, feeling and thoughts, which have widely inspired Cherono Ng'ok’s production so far. Mimi Cherono Ng’ok graduated with a B.A. in Fine Arts majoring in photography at the University of Cape Town. Her famous photograph, entitled self portrait, won the third PhotoAfrica contest in Tarifa, Spain.
