25-30 Oct. Tanzania is the first African country to host the Africa Diaspora Heritage Trail Conference (ADHT), now in its fifth year. It is hoped that 200 people of African origin will make the journey to Dar es Salaam to trace the origins of their forefathers, many of whom were shipped as slaves to America. The Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) is hosting events including tours showcasing the enormous tourism potential of Tanzania and other African nations. Participants can improve their knowledge of Africa while helping to keep alive African traditions in their own countries.
