Annual Conference on Arab Philanthropy and Civic Engagement

10-12 June 2012. This annual conference, entitled Takaful, is organized by the John D. Gerhart Center for Philanthropy and Civic Engagement.

It is the first interdisciplinary forum for research in the areas of philanthropic practice and citizen engagement in the Arab region.

It aims to encourage interaction between scholars and practitioners in order to contribute to an enhanced community of practice.

This edition’s keynote speech will be held by the Tunisian human rights lawyer Radhia Nasraoui.
