22 Jan-2 Feb 2007. The Foundation for Contemporary Art in Ghana (FCA) is organising a ten-day workshop for 20 member artists around the theme of HIV and the stigma attached to the virus. Participants will first hear testimony from people with HIV/AIDS about what it is like to live with stigma before going on to create five works each in their chosen medium that interpret the theme. The workshop is being held under the auspices of a national anti-stigma campaign and the work produced will form an exhibition that will travel the country to raise awareness about one of the lesser known aspects of living with HIV/AIDS. 08.30-17.00.
