Arusha Film Festival

There have been over 70 films showing at the Arusha African Film Festival (AAFF) now in its third year.

As usual the festival focuses on the young, with shorts, documentaries and a few feature films. Works this year have come from about 20 countries across Africa and Europe, as well as Argentina, Australia and Brazil.

The festival has been sponsored by Tanzania's mobile telecommunications company Tigo, which is also sponsoring a film to be shot on location in Arusha with local actors.

The director of the more famous Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF) is expected among the guests.
