Arusha International Festival

Arusha's arts and culture festival, known also as the Jambo festival, includes fashion, live concerts and markets.

There will also be a street carnival through the town on Saturday 5 October, to campaign against wildlife poaching. This year the Jambo festival is being sponsored by the French embassy and Peroni Italy and is moving to a new location in the Nanenane grounds in Njiro outside the town centre.

The festival, now in its third year, is aiming to become one of the country's top festivals alongside Zanzibar's music (Sauti Za Busara) and international film (ZIFF) festivals.

For more details see the Jambo festival website.
