Audition with Helena Waldmann

22 January 2011. This audition will select professional dancers, performers and theatre practitioners, interested in contemporary dance, dance theatre and physical theatre and who would like to participate to a dance theatre project with the international renowned German choreographer and director Helena Waldmann.

The audition will be followed by an intensive workshop for dance and performing arts, which will take place from 14 to 25 February 2011 (daily 09.00-14.00) at Goethe Institut Addis Ababa, which will culminate in a final stage presentation on 25 February 2011 and will be documented with photographs and videos.

Helena Waldmann has acquired international fame through her numerous stage choreographies such as BurkaBondage, Feierabend-Das Gegengift, Return to Sender, Crash, Emotional Rescue, Headhunter-Cutting the Edges, Vodka Konkav and other stage productions.

This event is for talented Ethiopian dancers with high qualitative movement skills to offer them an occasion to cooperate practically in a complex dance theatre project with a professional choreographer.

Audition lasts from 10.00 to 14.00.
