8 May-14 Aug 2006. The Red Bull Big Wave Africa, one of the worlds largest surfing competitions, is underway in Cape Town for the eighth consecutive year. Top South African and international surfers compete at the unpredictable deep-water reef break Dungeons in Hout Bay south of the city centre. Non-surfers can get a birds-eye view of the action from Sentinel Mountain above the bay.
