Bonding Strings by Uchay Joel Chima
2-7 July 2011. This exhibition displays the paintings, installations and video works by Uchay Joel Chima. On this occasion Chima chose materials such as strings, ropes and knitting wool that are synonymous of bonding, togetherness, intimacy and entanglement. Chima believes that in an era of global upheaval, people still have a desperate need to make a positive difference to others, to strengthen and revaluate interpersonal relationships and to support each other through difficulties.
