Born as an Artist by Evarist Chikawe

6-30 June 2011. This exhibition entitled Born as an Artist showcases the recent paintings by Evarist Chikawe, one of the most famous Tanzanian artists.

This 36-years old artist has been very popular in the fine and performing art scene over the past 20 years. His works deal with very actual issues such as the fight for human rights and the conservation of African culture as well as the problems that affect the education policy in Tanzania.
