24 July 2008. Young graffiti artist Bruno ShotB and fashion designer Isis Mbaga present their work at the French-Mozambican cultural centre in Maputo. The graffiti art on show challenges traditional ideas of contemporary art in Mozambique. For her part Mbaga adopts a new approach to fashion design, overturning the traditional codes of street fashion and recreating a playful and kitsch universe rooted in Mozambican culture. Recycling and the transformation of materials provide important inspiration for her work. Mbaga is currently training in France with the French Comorian designer Sakina M'sa. 19.00. Entry free.
