22-29 April 2006. Over 900 mountain bikers from all over the globe will be taking part in the largest mountain bike stage race in the world. The competition begins on 22 April in Knysna on the Garden Route and ends eight days and 900 km later at Spier Wine Estate just outside Cape Town. The varied route takes in open plains, mountains, ravines, semi-desert areas, indigenous forests, coastlines and vineyards.
