Music from various continents, countries and genres perform music from “the past, present and future.”
There are three stages within City Hall featuring live music from China, Colombia, the USA and Uruguay, as well as talks and master classes.
Top performers include South African musician Thandiswa Mazwai and Mali’s singer and guitarist Vieux Farka Touré.
The festival coincides with Madela Day weekend and the theme this year is light.
