This exhibition, which takes its title from a book on colour by filmmaker Derek Jarman written not long before he died, explores colour from various perspectives, using quotations from his text and from other artists.
It presents works where colour is of prime importance to the work itself and others whether the politics of colour or its symbolism is more important.
Central to the exhibition is Jarman's last film film Blue. For details of the artists and the work on show see the gallery website.
The Stevenson Gallery, which was founded by Michael Stevenson in 2003, focuses on artists from African countries and the diaspora and now brings work of international artists to South Africa.
There is also a Stevenson Gallery in Johannesburg.
