Color Run South Africa

The first Color Run in Cape Town opens at Sea Point Promenade at 14.00.

Started in the US in 2012 the 5 km-run is not a competitive race but a fun event to colour competitors with as much powdered paint as possible.

The Cape Town run is to raise money for Shawco which provides low-income areas, such as Khayelitsha, Kensington, Manenberg and Muizenberg, with as much high-quality healthcare and education as possible.

Color Runs, which now take place all over the world, are also scheduled for Johannesburg, Pretoria and Durban in South Africa. Teams or individuals may enter, there are no age limits, parents with strollers are allowed but dogs are banned from running too.
